May 8, 2026 is a wedding day I'll remember for a long time.
Some weddings are filled with grand celebrations and hundreds of guests, while others are intentionally intimate, allowing every meaningful moment to shine. Raegan and Noah chose the latter, surrounding themselves with their closest family and friends as they promised forever to one another.
From the moment I arrived that morning until the final sunset portraits of the evening, it was clear that this wasn't simply a wedding—it was the beginning of a beautiful marriage rooted in love, faith, and genuine kindness.

A Beautiful Bride & Quiet Moments Before "I Do"
One of my favorite parts of every wedding day is the quiet time before the ceremony begins.
After months of planning, everything suddenly slows down for just a few moments. The dress is on, the final touches are complete, and the excitement begins to settle in as reality sinks in—today is the day.
Raegan looked absolutely stunning.
Before family and guests filled the church, we spent a few quiet moments creating bridal portraits that quickly became some of my favorite images from the entire gallery. The soft spring light, the timeless elegance of her gown, and the anticipation on her face created photographs that feel both graceful and emotional.
These are the moments I know my brides will treasure years from now.
Every Detail Was Thoughtfully Planned
One of the very first things I noticed when I arrived was just how beautifully prepared Raegan was.
She had carefully gathered her invitations, rings, jewelry, perfume, shoes, vow books, and meaningful keepsakes into a beautifully organized detail box before I even arrived.
As a wedding photographer, I cannot express enough how helpful this is.
Because everything was ready to go, I was able to spend time styling and photographing all of the little details that tell the story of a wedding day. Every ribbon, every floral accent, every carefully chosen piece reflected the love and intention she poured into planning this celebration.
The details weren't simply beautiful—they were personal.
Those photographs have become some of my favorite detail images I've created this year.

A Sacred Catholic Ceremony
Raegan and Noah exchanged their vows at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Omaha.
There is something incredibly beautiful about Catholic wedding ceremonies.
The reverence, tradition, and sacredness of the Mass create an atmosphere unlike any other. Every prayer, every reading, and every promise reminds us that marriage is so much more than a celebration—it's a lifelong covenant.
As I watched these two stand together at the altar, it was impossible not to notice how deeply they cared for one another.
Their love wasn't something they had to create for the camera.
It was already there.
You could see it in every smile, every glance, and every quiet moment they shared throughout the day.
Genuine Joy
Although I didn't have the opportunity to photograph their engagement session, it didn't take long to realize just how naturally these two fit together.
They laughed constantly.
They encouraged one another.
They held hands every chance they got.
Nothing ever felt forced.
One of my favorite compliments I can give a couple is simply this:
They made my job easy.
Their connection was completely genuine, and because of that, every portrait felt effortless.
A Celebration with the People Who Matter Most
Rather than hosting a large wedding, Raegan and Noah chose to celebrate with their closest family members and dearest friends.
I absolutely loved the intimacy of their day.
There was time for meaningful conversations.
Time for hugs.
Time for laughter.
Time to truly enjoy one another without feeling rushed.
The reception at The House of R was filled with heartfelt speeches, joyful celebration, and so many moments that reminded everyone why wedding days are about so much more than beautiful decorations.
They're about family.
They're about legacy.
They're about celebrating the beginning of something that will last a lifetime.
A Sweet Personal Connection
This wedding was especially meaningful for my family because I had the opportunity to serve Raegan and Noah in more than one way.
Through Cameron's Catering & Sweets, my husband is the head chef, we created both the wedding cake and the sheet cakes served during the reception.
I also had the privilege of decorating their wedding cake before the celebration began.
Watching the bride and groom cut into a cake I had decorated while also documenting those moments behind the camera was incredibly special.
Being trusted with both their memories and a small part of their celebration made this wedding one I'll never forget.
Golden Hour Magic
As the evening began winding down, we stepped outside one final time.
Nebraska completely showed off.
Soft golden sunlight stretched across the landscape while beautiful pink clouds filled the evening sky.
Those few quiet minutes together created some of my favorite portraits from the entire wedding day.

And finally, the silhouette against the colorful sunset.
Those images perfectly captured the ending of a truly unforgettable day.
The Little Moments That Made the Day So Special
As beautiful as the flowers, décor, and portraits were, it was the little moments that truly told Raegan and Noah's story.
Before I arrived that morning, Noah surprised Raegan with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a heartfelt note. It was waiting for her as I photographed her bridal details, and it was such a sweet reminder of his love before the day had even begun.
Raegan had planned something just as meaningful. Knowing how much Noah missed his mother, who had passed away before their wedding day, she had a custom photo charm made for the inside of his suit jacket so he could carry a piece of her with him throughout the day.
Not every memorable moment was emotional, though. Noah made sure he had a Diet Coke in hand while getting ready, and just before the ceremony, static decided to cling to his dress pants, leaving him quietly trying to smooth them back down with his shoe whenever he thought no one was looking.
Those are the moments I love documenting most. The big moments are unforgettable, but years from now, it's often the bouquet, the hidden photo charm, the Diet Coke, and the battle with static that make couples smile the most.
A Gift That Meant More Than Words
As if photographing such a beautiful wedding wasn't enough, Raegan and Noah surprised my husband and me with one of the most thoughtful gifts we've ever received.
Knowing how much Raegan loved a particular bottle of wine—and how difficult it had become to find—they went out of their way to track it down and give it to us at the end of the evening.
It wasn't simply a bottle of wine.
It was her favorite wine.
It was such a thoughtful, personal gift that completely reflected the kind of people they are.
Throughout the entire day they treated everyone around them with kindness, gratitude, and genuine appreciation.
Their generosity wasn't something they turned on for the wedding day.
It was simply who they are.
Receiving such a meaningful gift was incredibly humbling, and it's something my husband and I will always remember.
